I haven't been around here in a while... Pretty wrapped up in work, and not-work and trying to optimize what is going on with that.

I recently had an epiphany, of sorts... (and I'm struggling to put it to words...)

    I work very hard to try pursue things not easily within reach, rather than optimize my current situation.  I think this pursuit makes me blind to the opportunities around me.  I'll have to think of an anecdote to explain this one.  (to be continued...)

Vacillation
Hesitation
Consternation
Procrastination

I need to take more chances, accept more risk... sweat less and sweat more.  My constant planning and contingencies cannot possibly be paying dividends in the long run.  And perhaps overcoming some of the challenges, as they present themselves, are a fun objective too.

Braver to be yourself..

 I don't have time to reflect on this right now, but want to put a bookmark for later. (in Steamboat Springs, CO - 2021-06-03) Why does it feel as though it was a challenge, in so many ways, to pursue a life where I am "just being myself"? And how did the idea of "being myself" become the secondary goal over the past 20 years?  (and, what was the primary goal then? this should be a fun one to unpack ;-)
